Hi, I am Didem Yesil. I am an EFL teacher working at Karacan Prestige English- one of the well-known language schools in Istanbul, Turkey. I am a senior student in Foreign Language Education Department at Bogazici University and this is my first year in teaching.
This class blog is for my fifth-grade students who started learning English last year. They are all state school students at the weekdays and I teach them only at the weekends. They are high-beginners now. Although their English is limited, they enjoy interacting in English through the blog. But I always keep the language as simple as possible in my posts to make the blog experience easier for them.
I believe that blogs give students a great chance to learn the language while they have fun and communicate using English for a real purpose no matter what level their English is. Given that they are only beginners now, they do a really great job:)
